Robert Binder, Ph.D., MCRP

A nationally recognized transportation scholar, Robert specializes in urban planning and transportation equity, focusing on how transit systems can drive social interaction and justice. Robert currently serves as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Oregon. He holds a PhD in Urban Planning from USC and was recently named the PhD Student of the Year (2023) by the National Center for Sustainable Transportation. His work integrates spatial analysis, public space theory, and community planning to advance equitable, multimodal urban systems. He has published extensively on these topics across academic journal articles.
